Rockin Robin and his merry band of men star in this fantasy story featuring Rock Music from the fifties, sixties and seventies.
They meet Robin Hood and Little John who have been expecting them. All are immediately swept up in events. A Sorcerer has cast a spell on the village of Locksley, because he mistakenly believes a missing magic ring has been stolen by Robin Hood and his band.
The students become further tangled in the story when The Sorcerer falls madly in love with Maddie, and concocts a love potion to help win her over.
Meanwhile The Sheriff is trying to win Marion and evade the advances of Elvira, the Sorcerer’s unattractive daughter, while Robin and Marion are simply trying to find a happy ending.
The songs, include Horror Movie, Locomotion, Puppet on a String, Rock Around the Clock and many more as well as the final toe-tapping, Rockin’ Robin.

Plot / Synopsis
The drama group (or school) is rehearsing a number for the Rock Eisteddfod; during the rehearsal an electrical fault in the special effects department causes two of the cast, Maddie and William, to be transported backwards through time to medieval Sherwood Forest.
They are met in the forest by Robin Hood and Little John who have been eagerly awaiting their arrival. They are all immediately swept up in events involving a plot to thwart a Sorcerer who has cast a spell on the village of Locksley, because of a missing magic ring he mistakenly believes has been stolen by Robin Hood and his band.
The original members of the school drama group, who now don’t recognise Maddie and William, have somehow become characters in this medieval mix-up which includes the Sheriff of Nottingham, his over bearing mother Morag, and bumbling deputy Oswald.
Robin enlists the help of William, whom he insists is actually Will Scarlet, and Maddie (aka Vilia, the witch of the woods), to help him. If they can find the missing ring, Maddie and William hope to have the Sorcerer release the village from his spell and transport them both back to the future.
The story becomes complicated when The Sorcerer falls madly in love with Maddie, and concocts a love potion to help win her over. The Sheriff is trying to win Marion and evade the advances of Elvira, the Sorcerer’s unattractive daughter, and Robin and Marion are simply trying to find a happy ending.
The adventure carries them all to the Sherwood Forest Fair, where the Sheriff and his comedic deputy, Oswald have planned to publicly humiliate Robin and capture him. Of course, all does not go according to plan, and how our heros manage to triumph, return the ring to its rightful owner, release the spell on the village and get back home is a rollicking rocking romp of energetic ingenuity from start to finish.
The cast includes many minor roles such as the Sorcerer’s precocious daughter Elvira, the quintessential Maid Marion, several zany maids in waiting, Sorcerer’s lackeys, a host of villagers, members of Robin’s band, peasants, and various other forest dwellers.
The set is uncomplicated, the cast flexible and suitable for doubling if needed, also allows for many cameo roles, lots of chorus work and is suitable for High School or Youth Theatre production.
