Gary Down

As an actor, Garry Down's credits include all the major television series, film, radio and of course, theatre. His work with the Melbourne Theatre Company includes: The Winters Tale, Breaking the Silence, Desire Under The Elms, Rough Crossing, Einstein (which toured to the USA) He became a regular in the popular Chanel Seven soapie, Home and Away, playing Nigel.

He has directed many plays, including Hats, Lysistrata, Seasons Greetings, Hurly Burly (both of which were nominated for the Victoria Green Room Award as best production) and many more. In 1990 he was Artistic Director for the New England Theatre Company. Garry now lives in Melbourne where he is frequently seen as actor or director.
