David co-wrote Shout! The Legend of the Wild One, in 2000 when it broke box-office records around Australia. The most recent production of Shout!, directed by Stuart Maunder, and starring Tim Campbell with a cast of Aussie rock legends played successful seasons in Melbourne and Sydney in 2008 and is soon to be released on DVD.
 
David was co-writer with Melvyn Morrow and John-Michael Howson OAM, of the successful musical production, Dusty: The Original Pop Diva which grossed over twenty-five million dollars and won four Helpmann Awards in 2006 and Melbourne’s Green Room Award for Best New Australian Production. London and North American seasons are being negotiated.

David has written for Barbra Streisand, Bob Hope, Michael Parkinson, Barry Humphries, Clive James, Ronnie Corbett, Lorna Luft and the late Danny la Rue.

 
A prolific freelance television producer, David’s shows include, The Mike Walsh Show, Parkinson in Australia, Saturday Night Clive, The Dame Edna Experience, Barry Humphries’ Flashbacks, This is Your Life and Foxtel’s The Pam Ann Show.
 
His Australian Royal Bicentennial Concert in 1988 which starred Olivia Newton-John, Peter Allen and Kylie Minogue, amongst many others, was described by international showbiz bible, Variety, as, “pure, unremitting, unalloyed, entertainment!”.
 
Most recently he produced for television Foxtel’s An Audience with the Cast of Wicked, An Audience With Stephen Sondheim, and An Audience With the Cast of Chicago, as well as Ever After Ever, the farewell concert for Sydney Dance Company Director, Graeme Murphy.
 
In June, Foxtel audiences thrilled to David’s television production of Bernadette Peters: Live from the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. This production will soon be on DVD release.
 
David has co-written the annual Helpmann Awards since their inception.
